Midcoast Maine is home to many hardworking municipalities, businesses, and people who sometimes need a hand getting a jump start on their futures. Whether that may be writing grants at a federal level or looking to become educated on the processes of local government, MCOG is here to help.
We work closely with communities and individuals to help them reach their next step towards achieving their goals. We offer a wide range of services through one-on-one interactions with our expert staff to make sure that there is a plan in place to best fit you.
When working with municipalities in the Midcoast we have provided planning consultation to towns that are overwhelmed in their planning & development departments. This includes day-to-day work for municipalities, helping to developing Comprehensive Plans, and to write grants such as the Northern Border Grant and Economic Development Administration.
On the business side of things, we have worked with startups that have needed assistance getting financial funding with local banks. This loan program has enabled small Maine business owners to reach their goals in their communities.
MCOG is a membership driven organization serving the entirety of Sagadahoc, Lincoln, and Knox counties, and select communities in Cumberland County (Harpswell and Brunswick) and Waldo County (Northport, Lincolnville, Searsmont, and Belmont).
