Maine Farmland Trust Hosts Webinar On Farm Support Program

Is your community interested in conservation and property tax relief for Maine farms? Please join us for a webinar to learn more about the Voluntary Municipal Farm Support Program (VMFSP) and the process for local adoption. We’ll also discuss recent statutory changes that have increased flexibility with some elements of the program. 

Hosted by Maine Farmland Trust, GrowSmart Maine, and the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry, they will share more about this versatile, local program which provides a mechanism for municipalities to voluntarily protect farmland and support local farms. The webinar is free to attend and open to the public.
