Fishing Plus: A New Accelerator Program

Maine Center for Entrepreneurs and Island Institute are partnering on a new program designed to help Maine’s lobstering families and commercial fishermen diversify their income and build resilient small businesses.

The program offers practical business tools, interactive learning, mentorship, networking, and support to prepare participants to access capital—all with the goal of strengthening the long-term viability of Maine’s coastal communities.

For those interested in starting a business but still exploring their options, the Diversification Pathways workshop will help participants identify their strengths and resources and begin planning a new venture.
