General Assembly

Please plan to attend the MCOG General Assembly on November 20, from 9am-3pm at the Owls Head Museum! The theme for this fall assembly is Local Needs with Regional Alignment. the featured speaker will be the Commissioner of the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, who will focus on the economic and community development trends of Maine. Following, Kevin Sutherland and Jim Tetsher will explain why bad land use policy and lead to bad municipal financial policy. After lunch, Charlotte Nutt will update us on the latest trends in the MCOG region.  

With much to think about from earlier sessions, participants will be asked to break out into subject areas of interest, as MCOG will ask participants to focus on the most vexing needs in their community, sharing their insight with their fellow municipal representatives, and considering local and regional strategies.
