Maine Trails Program Workshop

The Bureau of Parks and Lands announced the launch of the second grant round of the Maine Trails Program, continuing the State’s investment in outdoor recreational infrastructure across Maine. The second round of funding will be available to municipalities, nonprofit organizations, and ATV and snowmobile clubs.

The submission deadline for the second round is June 26, 2026.

Updated program guidance, an updated scoring rubric, and example applications are currently in development and will be published on the program webpage in the coming weeks. These materials are intended to help applicants better understand the application process, program goals, eligibility requirements, and evaluation criteria before submitting an application.

Past project review letters from MNAP, IFW, and MHPC may be accepted if they were issued within the last year and if there have been no changes to the project scope or funding. Please contact the program administrator with any questions.
