MCOG General Assembly

The General Assembly Meeting will be held on June 25th. This meeting will be built around activities occurring around the region, as well as a year-end

report. Topics will include findings on the Thriving Community transit survey results and ongoing work, a review of the Lower Road Feasibility Grant, the successful use of the Maine Redevelopment Land Bank Authority Grant, and other reports from member communities as we continue to hear from you, our members. The location will be announced. One proposal to be acted upon will be to amend the MCOG Bylaws to permit the Board of Directors to annually approve the MCOG Budget, as opposed to the General Assembly. MCOG reviewed the practices of our COG’s to the south and found that most use either their Executive Committee or the Board of the Directors to approve annual budgets.
