MCOG General Assembly

The General Assembly Meeting will be held on June 25th. This meeting will be built around activities occurring around the region, as well as a year-end

report. Topics will include an update to the arts and culture cluster examination; funding for community public waterfront access, trails, and open space preservation; and other reports from member communities as we continue to hear from you, our members.

One proposal to be acted upon will be to amend the MCOG Bylaws to permit the Board of Directors to annually approve the MCOG Budget, as opposed to the General Assembly. MCOG reviewed the practices of our COG’s to the south and found that most use either their Executive Committee or the Board of the Directors to approve annual budgets. The MCOG Board of Directors recommends that we move from a General Assembly action to approval with the Board of Directors.
