JUNE 2022 SPECIAL NEWSLETTER

Good morning all,

- The Midcoast Council of Governments will hold its semi-annual General Assembly meeting at the Waldoboro Town Hall on June 23, 2022 at 10:30am. A zoom invite for those interested in attending remotely will be provided prior to the meeting, along with the agenda.

- Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District and Maine DEP are partnering to host an inperson training in Basic Sediment and Erosion Control Practices Certification for Contractors on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Camden Opera House. The course will cover best management practices, applicable regulations and standards for projects, such as shoreline riprap and culverts, and natural resource impacts. It will also discuss vegetated buffers, erosion control planning and the permitting and planning process. The all-day training will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and includes morning refreshments and lunch. Pre-registration with payment is required by Friday, June 17 ($95 mail-in registration / $97 online registration). Registration and more information can be accessed here.

We would also like to remind everyone to stay vigilant with scam emails going around. We have received one in office asking to change direct deposit information for a staff member.

Best,

The MCOG Team

Mathew Eddy, Brian Dancause, Max Johnstone, Orion Thomas, Mary Jane West and Hannah Sisk
