Senior Planner Search Re-opened

 

An ever-evolving regional planning organization seeks an experienced individual to perform technical & professional work in municipal land use, economic and community development, business development, and community resilience planning. Minimum qualifications include:

 

·         B.A. or B.S. in regional or community planning, environmental science, rural and urban design, landscape architecture, land use planning, geography, or related planning field.

·         Demonstrated experience in municipal or regional planning desired. Masters preferred. Pending graduation considered.

·         Effective written communication, public presentation, and people skills, experience in social media and web design a plus;

·         Experience or knowledge of municipal planning processes desired;

·         Familiarity with GIS mapping and data systems

·         Familiarity with economic, business, and community development practices

·         Strong organization and prioritization skills, ability to work independently;

·         Strong research and analytical skills;

·         Knowledge of Maine and federal funding opportunities and the ability to administer them; and,

·         Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

 

Salary Range:     $65-75,000; 100% Health Benefits for the individual, 80/20 for Family Coverage; flexible schedule and remote working available. Must live in or be willing to move to the midcoast region.
